Water: The Elixir of Life

I have written a book entitling 'Water: The Elixir of Life'. It contains total ten chapters. These chapters are so  interesting that one can know the latest updates of water. I have tried to explore some greater details about water.

Introduction: Describes the background of water and why water took birth in earth & so many interesting questions. I have also specified the chemical gift of cosmic projectile to earth how made the womb of life.


The Blue Planet: Describes about the abundances of water in earth material. Structure of water, density of water, Salinity, Phase transition and Heavy water.


Life in Water: Describes why water is the blood of life and why is it called the cosmic juice. Water geometry, physical property, Impact of water on DNA & Oparin-Haldane hypothesis also been discussed.


Water works: Describes the water land, desert, seawater and freshwater consumption.

Water, water everywhere: Describes the hydro-logic cycle, recycling the biogeochemical cycle. 

Nor any drop to drink: Describes how the drinking water being wasted by human manual and mechanical pollution.

Healthy water, healthy lives: Describes pH scale and impact of ionized water.

Regeneration: Describes the steps taken by Government to recycle polluted water into pure and usable water - reclaimed water.

India's water sector: Turbulent times ahead: Describes policy taken by Govt. of India and different states for water sanitation.

You can make a difference: Describes the problems with growing population, how to find new sources and redistribute water, reduce demand and recycle.

Hundred Years of Superconductivity & its prospect



I have written a paper entitling Hundred years of Superconductivity and its prospect. It contains the detail history of superconductivity in last hundred years. It describes the discovery of supercunductivity, Meissner effect, Electrical & Magnetic properties of superconductor, London equation, Type-I and Type-II superconductor, Isotope effect, Electron-Phonon coupling, Electron-Electron interaction, Ginzburg-Landau theory, Cooper pairing, Nambu-Eliashberg theory and BCS theory. It pleasures me to write such article. Still I do believe it could be publish. I read so many Nobel lectures to write this paper.

Science learning in Non-formal Settings

This is a parallel approach of learning science beyond formal method of learning. School, College & University etc. is the way of formal education as well as learning. There is some specific syllabus, students have to take that syllabus - learn the subject - think about the subject, prepare for examination and after examination there is an evaluation process. But in case of Non-formal learning there is no syllabus, no examination even no evaluation. Besides there is no age limit. Here Museums play a vital role for the age from five to eighty.

Grechen Jennings [ Editor of "Exhibitionist", the journal NAME] & Karen Lee [ Numismatic Curator, Smithsonian National Museum of American History ] came from USA and assigned us visitor study at Science City, Kolkata. On 7th and 14th July 2012, ten MS people have divided into three groups and we had taken visitors feedback. We had modified Nano-lab, Spinning Chain & Pin-screen exhibits. I can conclude that we had enjoyed the session and our contribution to develop the exhibit was appreciable to visitors. The following video shows our activity at Science City, Kolkata.
