Who am I?

Yes..yes!! you are right. I have lost my identity - among the soil, water, fire, wind and universe. I went to the temple and mosque and church to find myself. I have asked people sitting there that have you seen my identity? One of them replied me go to inside and pray for yourself in front of God, he can do for you. He can do everything you want.

I was amazed, does really God can do everything for poor creature like me! I had entered into the temple and mosque and church, sat down with closed eyes, and started praying. When I closed my eyes, I feel that oh..as I am absent in my house, my cook may not come today, my father might finding the locker key, my sister may spent her time in TV show even I might forget to put off light. These evil thought automatically came to my mind when I closed my eyes. I was surprised. I have came here to pray for God. So why these daily life problems are coming? I could not throwing them off my mind......

Man had made Temple and Mosque and Church to pray for God, not to think these daily events. The moments passes, seconds passed, minute..hours..I am sitting and trying to find out the answer. Suddenly a whispering sound came to me that you know your daily events and by performing those duties you met with your father, sister and so many persons. So you know those persons very well rather God.

My eyes opened with a great satisfaction that I have got all answers what I wanted. I saw temple and mosque and church were empty, just I am sitting at the center.

I realized that I know myself more detail rather God. Finally I find I am what am I ! 

         

One day in Indian Museum

In the previous week I was visited Indian Museum to explore the Coin Gallery. For this event I pay special thanks to Prof. Chittabrata Palit, Professor ( Retd.) Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He had inspired me to go and explore the coin gallery their. He had introduced me to Dr. Anup K. Matilal, Director, Indian Museum, Kolkata and Mrs. Chanda Mukherjee, Deputy Keeper, Numismatics & Epigraphy, Indian Museum, Kolkata, both of them are disciple of Professor C. Palit. I was gratified in being introduced and talked to those eminent persons.

Indian Museum coin gallery had highlighted the ancient and medieval coins in India. I have captured the information shown under their permission. It is inspiring me to carry this great responsibility. The image showing a very popular replica of Samudraguptas' inscription.    

Synopsis of Dissertation

I have written the Synopsis of my Dissertation work and submitted it. The title of my work is Reconstructing Social History from Coins and Currencies. This work will take place in Indian doctrine. I have to analyze the whole socio-cultural & socio-economic scenario of ancient to medieval India and from medieval to modern Indian paradigm shift. There are rise and fall of several Royal dynasties, their complexity in dealing estate, political conflict, economic policy, religious conflict and cultural scenario - have to be explored. I have to look forward by literary sources, journals of eminent Numismatists, books and statistical data which would obey this great responsibility.  

Water: The Elixir of Life

I have written a book entitling 'Water: The Elixir of Life'. It contains total ten chapters. These chapters are so  interesting that one can know the latest updates of water. I have tried to explore some greater details about water.

Introduction: Describes the background of water and why water took birth in earth & so many interesting questions. I have also specified the chemical gift of cosmic projectile to earth how made the womb of life.

The Blue Planet: Describes about the abundances of water in earth material. Structure of water, density of water, Salinity, Phase transition and Heavy water.

Life in Water: Describes why water is the blood of life and why is it called the cosmic juice. Water geometry, physical property, Impact of water on DNA & Oparin-Haldane hypothesis also been discussed.

Water works: Describes the water land, desert, seawater and freshwater consumption.

Water, water everywhere: Describes the hydro-logic cycle, recycling the biogeochemical cycle.

Healthy water, healthy lives: Describes pH scale and impact of ionized water.

Regeneration: Describes the steps taken by Government to recycle polluted water into pure and usable water - reclaimed water.

India's water sector: Turbulent times ahead: Describes policy taken by Govt. of India and different states for water sanitation.

You can make a difference: Describes the problems with growing population, how to find new sources and redistribute water, reduce demand and recycle. 

Hundred Years of Superconductivity & its prospect

I have written a paper entitling Hundred years of Superconductivity and its prospect. It contains the detail history of superconductivity in last hundred years. It describes the discovery of supercunductivity, Meissner effect, Electrical & Magnetic properties of superconductor, London equation, Type-I and Type-II superconductor, Isotope effect, Electron-Phonon coupling, Electron-Electron interaction, Ginzburg-Landau theory, Cooper pairing, Nambu-Eliashberg theory and BCS theory. It pleasures me to write such article. Still I do believe it could be publish. I read so many Nobel lectures to write this paper.
 

Science learning in Non-formal Settings

This is a parallel approach of learning science beyond formal method of learning. School, College & University etc. is the way of formal education as well as learning. There is some specific syllabus, students have to take that syllabus - learn the subject - think about the subject, prepare for examination and after examination there is an evaluation process. But in case of Non-formal learning there is no syllabus, no examination even no evaluation. Besides there is no age limit. Here Museums play a vital role for the age from five to eighty.

Grechen Jennings [ Editor of "Exhibitionist", the journal NAME] & Karen Lee [ Numismatic Curator, Smithsonian National Museum of American History ] came from USA and assigned us visitor study at Science City, Kolkata. On 7th and 14th July 2012, ten MS people have divided into three groups and we had taken visitors feedback. We had modified Nano-lab, Spinning Chain & Pin-screen exhibits. I can conclude that we had enjoyed the session and our contribution to develop the exhibit was appreciable to visitors. The following video shows our activity at Science City, Kolkata.

Coins & Notes

The Dissertation topic has been declared for MS students. I have to explore socio-historical impact of coins and currencies in Indian Doctrine. Initially I have to write a synopsis. Then to go for main stream. This project will take place under Mr. Nataraj Dasgupta, Curator, Central Research & Training Laboratory, Kolkata. I may have to go for British Council, Indian Museums & National Library, Kolkata, to get necessary documents.

Before this, I have a hobby to collect foreign coins very long back. It was no longer continued due to several reasons. Till then, I have coins from Canada, USA, France, Britain, Netherlands and notes from Nepal & Bangladesh. The hobby has lost but the past hobby turned into a big Dissertation and this Dissertation made a huge responsibility.
